on products that are beyond the warranty period.

Preventative Maintenance (PMP)
An annual PMP is recommended to ensure that your OpTest instrument remains in good working order. The maintenance can be done at OpTest or at your facility.
What comes with a PMP?
Certificate of Calibration – This certificate ensures that your equipment is working optimally and meets applicable standard precision requirements.
Service Report – This report lists the steps taken to maintain your equipment and notes issues that should be addressed by the next scheduled maintenance date.
10 hours of Technical Support to be used for technical support within the year following maintenance.
When you request a quotation for a PMP, please include your instrument’s serial number in the subject line.
Technical Support Plan (TSP)
Three TSPs are available: 10, 20 or unlimited hours per year. The support is given by email, phone or fax.

Important Information Regarding Discontinued Fiber Quality Analyzers
OpTest no longer repairs older FQAs with serial numbers starting with LDA93, LDA96, or LDA02 due to the unavailability of critical components. Annual maintenance may still be performed provided that the instrument is in good working order. Request a quotation for a Preventative Maintenance Plan.
The Classic FQA (LDA96) and HiRes FQA (LDA02) cannot be upgraded.

Notice for Discontinued Micro-Scanners & Paper PerFect Analyzers
OpTest no longer repairs older Micro-Scanners with serial numbers starting with LAD94 and LAD03 and PPF's with serial numbers starting with LPA 98 and LPA03 and may no longer be able to repair LAD07 Micro-Scanners or LPA07 PPF's due to the unavailability of critical components. Annual maintenance may still be performed provided that the instrument is in good working order.
